Are We Officially Dating? Starring Zac Efron Set for January 31, 2014 Release; Walk Of Shame Pushed to March 14, 2014

All this way, you’re expecting to be ready to tell if they’re devoting their important time with you. Just simply hanging out when it’s convenient for them. If you’re dating, you both need to open up to each other and share personal stories and experiences. This is to know each other better and also to relate on a deeper level.

Jason begins by telling the audience that every relationship reaches the « So… » moment, where someone in the relationship will want to take the relationship to a more serious place. At that point, Jason knows the relationship is over, as he is not ready to stop dating. If you’re a blooper fan, stay and watch the credits. There are some guaranteed good laughs in there! I noticed pretty much all the audience hung around to watch the credits too.

Singles out there take note – if you want to start a relationship all you need to do is make a pledge with your friends to stay single – yes, it’s that easy! This film is enjoyably formulaic, with schmaltzy lines and corny jokes coming thick and fast but ultimately fall flat. All the reviews were bad, and it generally just didn’t look that good.

You likely have that little bit of a habit together. This certainly means that both of you are very serious. Are you meeting them between break times in the hallway and having to meet at a Coffee shop for a quick coffee date after school? Or Are you eating meals in the restaurants together and inviting him/her to your house? Think about where and when you typically go on dates or hang out.

Stay in the Know

The pacing is detrimental to the film and tries to squash too many stories without enough depth in a short amount of time, ala He’s Just Not That Into You. By not giving enough time to build the characters of Jason, Daniel or Mikey, the film jumps from one significant event to another without exploring the building of their relationships. Luckily there are moments of brilliance in the film and concepts that are insightful. Mikey’s revelation that despite being the “perfect man” and ticking all the boxes of education, work and personality, love isn’t earned, has not been explored in a romantic comedy before.

There is a reasonable amount of sex and there is an exploration of the vagaries of human relationships – but it’s not Love Actually. The trio at the centre of the film are played by three charismatic young stars – Zac Efron is Jason, Miles Teller is Daniel and Michael B. Jordan is Mikey. They dress well, live in New York, are not shabby to look at and lead the standard wish-fulfillment lives that characters in wish fulfillment movies usually do – creative and/or moneyed. But, as you might have surmised by now, they are not the usual protagonists. It’s witty, charming and very atypical of young guys dating behaviour.

It prefers to set up hurdles between you two, instead of trying to build on your relationship and bring you closer together. It’s normal for people just dating to feel like their significant other could leave them if somebody else “nicer” comes along. However, if you feel more secure in your partnership, you’ve likely gone through the dating stage. Always know that being open to each other indicates also that he/she trusted you or possibly they want to get the relationship deeper. Don’t get us wrong but sometimes, it happens naturally. If you were deliberately introduced to any part of your partner’s family, that’s a pretty sure indication that this relationship is going somewhere.

In « Are We Officially Dating? », three guys in support of a friend devastated by a recent breakup vow to maintain their single status for as long as possible. The plan gets derailed when they each fall in love and have to secretly work around their pledge to bachelorhood, while trying to figure out the complications of modern day relationships. “Whoa – I thought we were just going to the movies! This conversation will no doubt be spreading across the country and forcing lots of rapidly advancing relationships in the weeks to come. The agreement is made after Mikey’s marriage dissolves.

It’s refreshing to see a quirky and unconventional female catching the eye of a rather tried-and-tested character like Jason. It provides a little bit more depth and emotion, while still having a very humorous overtone. These boys already have the jobs and apartments, and they don’t realise they want a steady girl. Giving them one might satisfy the young women who have gone to see a rom-com, but it offers little to the male audience, unless they have gone for a lesson on what women want. For that, they might more profitably consult Carrie Bradshaw.

As a story, it’s a very uneven dramedy about relationships. But when it focuses on the drama, it stutters. Michael B. Jordan, Zac Efron, and Miles Teller are all 3 actors with very bright futures. Especially Teller, the guy is hilarious in everything.
