Animal countryside family farms Services Centers

Our mission countryside family farms is to promote and protect the health, safety and welfare of the animals and people in Placer County. Tahoe animal services are available at the Truckee Animal Shelter. LA Animal Services operates six animal shelters throughout the City of Los Angeles. We provide shelter to lost animals until we are able to reunite them with their owners and help stray pets find their new homes. We also offer free spay/neuter services to low-income LA City residents and discount coupons to any City resident for three dogs, three cats, and three bunnies per household.

pet society

  • No matter what the reason, there are thousands of homeless pets on the streets of cities and communities all over the country.
  • Animal mills create over-population of cats and dogs and often result in genetic problems that could lead to illness and death for the animals.
  • All animals are vaccinated appropriate to their age before going home.
  • But in spite of his poor condition, he still had plenty of purrs and affection to offer everyone he met.
  • Our clinics in Grays Ferry and the Northeast serve tens of thousands of pets every year whose caretakers may not afford care elsewhere.

They reached out to PAWS about rescue, and we took her in that same day. We improve the lives of animals and people through advocacy, education, and support. All adoptions include spay or neuter surgery, a microchip, and current vaccinations.

The Galveston Island Humane Society, Inc. is dedicated to promoting animal welfare and the protection and prevention of unwanted or homeless animals of Galveston Island. We had 22 dogs compete this year at our annual Surf Dogs Competition. Everyone had a great time showing off their skills while they cooled off in the Gulf. Here are a few photos from this fun community event. Send us a private message on our social pages if you have any questions about an adoptable pet before coming to visit. At Adopt a Pet, we’re all real pet owners and lovers, so we experience it all.

Clear The Shelters

When your adopt a pet from a shelter you are not supporting puppy and kitten mills. Puppy and kitten mills are essentially breeding facilities for dogs and cats. Many, but not all, stores receive animals from puppy mills or kennels. Animal mills create over-population of cats and dogs and often result in genetic problems that could lead to illness and death for the animals. Pitt County Animal Services retains the right to alter adoption fees for specific animals in certain circumstances.

Events

We have some amazing mobile events lined up for this July and August. Click for more info, directions, and a complete list of upcoming events. We could not succeed in our life-saving work if it weren’t for folks like you. Make your gift now and reserve your care package through our #linkinbio. Donate needed supplies, provide for the animals in your planned giving, plan an event, and more. Open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5pm, Thursdays and Fridays 12-7pm, Saturdays and Sundays 11am-5pm, closed Mondays.

Get the breakdown on how to use Adopt a Pet and navigate the pet adoption process. Animal adoption is much more affordable than purchasing an animal from a pet store. The low adoption rates are great for families who cannot afford to purchase an animal from a private owner or other pet-friendly shop.

Additionally shelter volunteers can provide more information about their medical background, personality and the circumstances that caused their arrival at the shelter. Foster parents provide a clean, safe, loving environment for homeless pets and help them prepare to find a new forever home. Thank you for your cooperation and support as we continue our mission to provide every animal exceptional care and loving homes while respecting the concerns for public health needs. The Animal Foundation’s public Low-Cost Vet Clinic does not perform spay and neuter surgery on English Bulldogs, Pugs, or French Bulldogs.

Agatha was so loved that she’s now got a few extra pounds to lose (we get it, those eyes are hard to resist!) so a little diet and exercise will go a long way. Like many Philadelphians, Adell was hit hard when the pandemic arrived. So when she learned about PAWS’ pet food pantry last December, it was truly a lifeline.
